the recent astroturfed canadian pride legit makes me ASHAMED to be canadian. i always felt closer to washingtonians, oregonians, alaskans, and northern californians, than I even did to anyone from, say, alberta. and also how do USamerican expats in canada feel rn? prolly like shit. I could give less of a fuck about trump's s/LGBTQ/LGB distraction from the DOGE shitstorm. We need a Trexit (TGTOW?) movement, clinging on to the rest of the acronym is stupid. It may have made sense in the 80s, but now, even though gay and lesbian couples have equal rights in most developed countries, trans rights are still patchy AF. I'm a hella-straight tgirl myself, I should know this.

My biggest issue with ChatGPT isn't some moral worries re: AI. It's because it's poised to replace search engines - the core of the internet - with some dollar store SmarterChild knockoff. Whether it was Webcrawler, Altavista, AskJeeves, Yahoo, Google, or DuckDuckGo, the internet has always relied on a search engine or two. I'm worried we're losing what made the Internet special. You ever wonder why people migrated out of walled gardens (AOL, MSN, Compuserve, Prodigy) into a decentralized system? Because WWW was simple to use; you could just enter something in a search box and find it, no need to navigate thru a zillion menus.

what good have dr*g qu**ns ever done for lgbtq ppl? i get it, they're an important part of queer history yada yada, but they just serve as a lightning rod for transphobia at this point. slavery was an important part of american history, yet that still doesn't justify it. I say keep the T but #DropTheDrag.
